The Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) J1 Committee is a collaborative committee consisting of key members from California Society for Cardiac Rehabilitation (CSCR) and California Society for Pulmonary Rehabilitation (CSPR). They represent CSCR and CSPR and act as liaisons between the Palmetto GBA MAC J1 Medical Director, AACVPR and CSCR Members.  All providers and suppliers were generally assigned to a MAC based on geographic location, but large chain providers were  permitted to request the opportunity to consolidate their billing activities under the MAC with jurisdiction over the chain's home office.  California's MAC is Palmetto.  Several CSCR member hospitals are not under Palmetto but under the jurisdiction of their home office.  See Links for further information.  It is important to know that individual CSCR members should not be contacting, Dr. Feliciano, our Palmetto Medical Director.  They need to work through this committee.
